ABOUT ME
I have a BA in film production and have spent more than a decade building a career out of the work I love to do: photographing food. My background in film gave me an appreciation for composition, lighting and visual storytelling, all of which find their way into the work I do today.
My love of food extends beyond the camera. I cook at home, enjoy trying new recipes, and discovering something new. Every now and then I will bring home a dish from a shoot because my favorite cuisine is free food. Often I will try to recreate it in my own kitchen.
The thing I most enjoy about this work (aside from free food) is that every assignment takes me somewhere different- from neighborhood cafés to some of New York’s swankiest dining rooms. I love experiencing these places, getting to know the people behind them and discovering what makes each one unique.
I believe the best images come from collaboration. I enjoy working alongside chefs and restaurant teams, listening to their ideas, sharing my own, and finding creative ways to bring a dish, menu, or an entire restaurant to life. I bring patience, professionalism and genuine enthusiasm to every shoot. I want to create great images, but I also want the experience of making them to be enjoyable for everyone involved.
